My paintings explore the concept of paradox in our ever expanding world through the use of symbolism.  The aim is to educate the spirit of our age to obtain a worldliness that transcends language and religious barriers.

The paintings are done in series and each series develops the idea of union: union of one's conscious state with one's unconscious state; union of the ego with the hidden shadow; union of opposites within oneself - male and female; union of body, mind and soul.

To take the creative process one step further, each series is also coordinated with a musical selection to stir the soul while the paintings speak to the eye, intellect, and atavistic memory.

For the past 36 years, I have studied works on myths and symbols from all over the world.  This intensive study realizes the importance of traditional folklore for every culture.

My goal is to help viewers throughout the world bring a balance to their lives, to see in my paintings the icons of their background that celebrate their ancient/mythical history and develop the myths that are in progress today.
